For older students, the Jurong Bird Park Flies to School outreach programme offers 3 different formats that bring the Bird Park experience into your school: talks, booths, and workshops.
Talks are ideal for assemblies and for addressing an entire cohort within a limited timeframe. Talks follow a 'show-and-tell' format with the use of specimens, an animal ambassador, and mass participation activities.
Booths place more emphasis on staff-student interaction, hands-on experiences with the specimens, and closer observation of our animal ambassador. These are ideal for recesses or school events.
Workshops are catered to older students (upper Primary and above) in smaller settings. Using inquiry-based approaches, these topics focus on science-process skills, observation, and group discussions. An animal ambassador will also be present.
Please specify your preferred format in the "comments" section of the registration form!
