Our wildlife parks are home to almost a thousand animal species — over a quarter of which are endangered. But our commitment to care for and protect wildlife extends far beyond our parks, across Southeast Asia, where we actively participate in the conservation of species in their natural habitats.
But we don’t do any of this alone. We do it with your support. Because every visit and purchase you make helps support our wildlife conservation work locally and in the region.
Together, we’re helping to secure a future for threatened species.
Together, we’re protecting wildlife.
As a zoological institution, we protect wildlife in many ways. Located right in the Singapore Zoo is our Wildlife Healthcare and Research Centre (WHRC), Singapore's designated centre for rescued native species. Here, many injured native animals are brought in for treatment, rehabilitation, and wherever possible, released back into the wild. Where appropriate, we also collect research data to further the understanding of local biodiversity, which we share with close partners like ACRES and NParks.
Beyond our parks, we also work with partners in the field, where wildlife across the region is facing threats like poaching, illegal wildlife trade, human-wildlife conflicts, and habitat loss. We are in a constant race to save animals from extinction, but with your help, we're securing a future for threatened wildlife, one species at a time.
