Inclusivity is core in every undertaking by Mandai Wildlife Group. As the steward of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve destination in Singapore, we welcome all community segments - from students, educators, special needs groups, the disadvantaged, youths-at-risk and the elderly. Our initiatives run the gamut from complimentary admission, to the sensitive curation of experiences for visits by children with autism and families impacted by incarceration.
Your legacy gift to us will help us on many fronts that matter for the planet – acting for continued positive outcomes for nature, wildlife, ecosystems and surrounding communities. Your legacy gift can also help us care for the diverse species of animals at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, while fuelling critical conservation work we are committed to in the SEA region.
You may make a legacy gift for a specific dollar amount. However, we do request for monetary contributions only, and for its use to be unrestricted, in order for us to utilise the gift to its full potential and channel the funds to where they are most needed.
To assist you with this important process, we would like to provide you with some details for the preparation of your will:
Because a will is an important legal document, and because each individual situation is unique, we advise you to seek your lawyer’s help to include the appropriate language in your will to give legal effect to your intention to bequeath your gift to us.
We seek your understanding that your gift will not be eligible for any tax exemption as our financial entity Singapore Zoological Gardens is not a registered Institution of a Public Character (IPC). Our revenue goes towards protecting animals and nature, as well as inspiring action for a healthier world.
Additionally, as Singapore Zoological Gardens is not an IPC, all monetary gifts may be considered as sponsorship which are subject to the prevailing GST to be borne by you.
If GST is payable, the final monetary gift amount received by us would be the net amount after deducting GST from the total monetary gift given by you. We would encourage you to seek legal advice should you have any tax-related questions.
Our team will be happy to share the list of entitlements, which is dependent on the quantum of your legacy gift, with you or your family, for consideration.

We prefer that you do not specify a purpose for your legacy gift. We seek your understanding as specifying a purpose would likely restrict our use of your gift to that particular purpose. This may prevent us from utilising your gift to its full potential. Additionally, should the particular purpose no longer exist, this would prevent the use of your gift for other purposes.
